Investigaciones Sobre Lectura (ISL) is a scientific journal that publishes studies on reading comprehension and reading competence, as well as research on reading, its promotion, reading habits, and related issues from a multidisciplinary perspective, including didactics, linguistics, psychology, literature, journalism, ICT, and pedagogy.

Investigaciones Sobre Lectura (ISL) is a scholarly journal that publishes studies on reading comprehension and reading literacy, as well as research on reading, its promotion and habits, its relationship with writing, and related topics from a multidisciplinary perspective (education, linguistics, psychology, literature, culture, science, journalism, ICT, pedagogy, anthropology, philosophy, medicine, etc.). Submissions may include theoretical studies, interventions, systematic reviews, case studies, validation studies, or any other approach that provides an original and significant contribution to advancing the state of knowledge.
About ISL
ISL is published by EduVerso (a spin-off company of the University of Málaga). It was previously published by the University of Málaga (UMA) and the Spanish Reading Comprehension Association (AECL, Asociación Española de Comprensión Lectora, 2014–2021). Its first issue was published in 2014.
Since 2016, the journal has been indexed in the main national and international scientific databases and directories, a list that has continued to expand over the years: CLARIVATE: WEB OF SCIENCE (ESCI), ELSEVIER SCOPUS SJR, FECYT Quality Seal, DOAJ, LATINDEX, DIALNET, SHERPA/ROMEO, ERIHPLUS, ISOC, E-REVIST@S, MIAR, ULRICHS, REDINED, RECOLECTA, DULCINEA, WORLDCAT, REDIB, UNIVERSIA, ORCID, POLSKA BIBLIOGRAFIA NAUKOWA, among others.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The use of AI to generate all or part of submitted manuscripts (including figures or tables) without expert review is expressly prohibited, including translation when used as a substitute for human work.
Since January 2025, academic English proofreading or translation of the article must be carried out through ISL.
Certificates of article acceptance are not issued.
